The Seminar intends to provide a platform for the exchange of views among diplomatic community, academic and civil society experts on the Legal Framework, Impacts, Accountability, as well as the Role of Media and awareness raising in this regard, so as to prevent, minimize and redress the adverse effects of UCM’s.
The Seminar will have presentations from invited eminent experts among well-known international figures, followed by an interactive discussion between the speakers and participants, led by a renowned moderator.
The International Seminar on UCM’s will include as “keynote speaker” to Mr. Idriss Jazairy, Special Rapporteur of the United Nations Human Rights Council on unilateral coercive measures, who is well known for his expertise regarding referred topic.
