Semana das Mulheres*

The „Centro Cultural Choupana - Grupo de Capoeira Angola “Irmãos Guerreiros” Viena” is organizing for the fourth time a week full of interesting activities due to the International Women’s Day, from the 20th until the 25th of March 2018 in Vienna (Austria) !
We are very happy to announce that this year we are inviting for the 1st time a Mestra from Brazil:
MESTRA GEGÊ from the group FICA Valença (Bahia) !!!

At this important event our Mestre Perna and Contramestre Kenneth can´t be missed either.

The aim of this event is to unite everybody:
“capoeira pra homen, meninx e mulher!”
Everyone is welcome, regardless of gender, nationality or deficiencies - “Tamô juntxs!”
We are against any form of discrimination!

We want to remind you of important women's struggles - for example the right to vote hasn't been established for a long time (since 1918 in Austria) - and we also want to draw attention to the struggles that they are still confronted with today - e.g. the difference concerning men's and women's wages. Don't forget about all the movements for better life conditions of women (in the 21st century!), the Femicides throughout the globe and all the important empowerment initiatives on the streets and social media.

This project's aim is not to solve big-scale problems, however, we would like to contribute to a solution with a discussion of the day-to-day obstacles and create a platform where ideas referring to March 8th, The International Women's Day can be exchanged. Be it in the Capoeira or in general.

We shall not forget: discrimination – of any kind – does not simply stop overnight. But we also cannot ignore that it exists.

We would like to invite all of you to our colourful event; starting on March the 20th and lasting until March 25th 2017, in Vienna! Let's commemorate this date with wonderful classes of Capoeira Angola, Afro-dance classes, a party that cannot be missed, interesting discussions and talks on that specific topic.

O nosso “Centro Cultural Choupana - Grupo de Capoeira Angola “Irmãos Guerreiros” Viena” está organizando pela quarta vez um evento referido ao “Dia Internacional da Mulher”.
De dia 20 até o dia 25 de março em 2018 queremos convidar todos vocês pra uma semana cheia de atividades interessantes e importantes aqui no capital da Áustria, Viena!
Estamos muito felizes de poder anunciar que vamos trazer pela primeira vez uma Mestra de Capoeira Angola do Brasil:
MESTRA GEGÊ do grupo FICA Valença na Bahia!

Vamos também conviver essa data junto com Mestre Perna, CM Kenneth e Prof. Bom Baiano.

A intenção desse evento é pra unir todo mundo, seja “homen, meninx ou mulher”!
Todo mundo está bem-vindx, indiferente do género, nacionalidade ou deficiência - “Tamô juntxs!” - contra qualquer forma de discriminação!

Queremos também relembrar da luta importante da mulher, por exemplo de poder eleger só pouco tempo atrás (1918 na Áustria), e chamar atenção das lutas ainda enfrentadas hoje em dia (por exemplo a diferença no salário entre homem e mulher). E não podemos esquecer das manifestações lideradas por mulheres pelas condições melhores de vida (no século 21!), os femicídios espalhado no globo inteiro e todas as iniciativas de empoderamento, como nas ruas ou nas redes sociais.

O nosso objetivo desse projeto como uma associação cultural, não é pra resolver grandes problemas mas queremos sim contribuir com um debate sobre os obstáculos do dia-a-dia e criar uma plataforma para uma troca de ideias e diálogos referente ao dia 8 de março, Dia Internacional de Mulher. Seja na Capoeira ou em geral.

Não podemos esquecer: a discriminação – exprimido de qualquer forma – não acabará com uma data só.

Queremos convidar todxs vocês para o nosso evento colorido e essa troca, a partir do dia 20 até o dia 25 de março 2018 em Viena! Vamos comemorar essa data com aulas de Capoeira Angola maravilhosas, aulas de dança afro, com uma festa imperdível, com discussões e conferências sobre o assunto.
